Hello everyone! We released this devlog some weeks ago on our Patreon, but now it's here for everyone to check out. This time, we’re talking about a lot of things: the two new maps, some environmental details that bring the world to life, and more.

Most of the work we're doing now is focused on the backend systems, which unfortunately aren't visually appealing enough to make a devlog about, but we can show you some GIFs and screenshots of the now COMPLETE notebook menu. The tabs in the menu will include: Relationships, Missions, Achievements, Map, Beetles, Settings, and Close Menu.

As for what to expect in the first release of the updated demo, you can look forward to everything we've shown in the devlogs so far: two brand new maps, a new bug-catching mechanic, the new Beetle Battle mini-game, a revamped menu with a bunch of quality-of-life features, in-game achievements, and full control over the time of day. Along with all of that, we’re also updating the story with more quests and revamped cutscenes. The new demo will be considerably longer than the original.

We’re also planning to release an EXCLUSIVE PATREON BUILD before the official release of the demo/game, so you can play it ahead of time! Stay tuned on Patreon and on Discord for more updates about this.

After that, we’re considering making a new trailer that highlights all the new features and includes a release date announcement, as well as a new devlog. Once the new demo is out, we’ll talk more about new content and updates (and don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about the cat and fish mechanics, haha).
