After a long wait, we are finally here! Not with a TikTok, but with this new and exciting way of communication on the internet... A "blog post!"

For those who don’t know Sunshine Countryside is a First-Person, NSFW, cozy dating sim.

Where you enjoy your vacation in the countryside, catching bugs, and sharing intimate moments with your best friend—all wrapped in a relaxing ambiance, complemented by a chill soundtrack and cel-shaded visuals.

Sunshine Countryside started as a project to prove that NSFW games could be more than just visual novels and RPG Maker games. The project grew more and more over the months of development, and it just made sense to release a demo of the idea we have for the game so we could see if other people would like to play a game like this.

And the answer was a resounding YES! People really seemed interested in the game. So, after some months of preparation and study, we are back!

And to start, we are REMAKING THE GAME FROM SCRATCH!

"Well, shit..." you might be thinking. But do not fret! As you can see on our roadmap below, the first phase of development is to remake the entire demo you guys have probably already played, but much better — with more mechanics like Beetle Battle and Fishing, better performance, better visuals, better maps, and an all-around better experience to showcase the full potential of the game.

We released a VIDEO showing off the new beetle-catching mechanics, as well as new environments.

Our idea is to post quick dev logs on YouTube and Bluesky so you can see the progress of the game. We believe that open and transparent development is the best way to make games in general, especially since your feedback is really important to us.
